OTT Review Vadhuvu

Story:

Meet Anjuri Indu (played by Avika Gor). Her engagement falls apart when her sister runs off with her fiancé. This leaves Indu and her family pretty shaken. A year later, Indu marries Anand (played by Nandu). But, surprise! The wedding isn’t smooth either, with someone trying to mess it up. The chaos continues even after Indu moves into her in-laws’ house. The series follows the ups and downs Indu faces in her new family.

What’s Good:

“Vadhuvu” has a bunch of mysterious characters that keep you guessing. You can feel that something’s off with Indu’s surroundings, adding to the suspense. Avika Gor finally gets a role that lets her shine, and she does a great job solving mysteries. Ali Reza is a pleasant surprise, grabbing a lot of screen time and making the most of it. Nandu does well in his role, and it looks like his character will be more important in the next part. The background music and dark visuals create a tense atmosphere. The rest of the cast does a decent job too.

What Could Be Better:

The show starts a bit rough, thanks to poorly written dialogues in the first episode. Serious scenes lack the impact they should have. The pacing could be better, making the show feel a bit stretched at times. While it keeps you in suspense, there aren’t many ‘wow’ moments to take it to the next level. The ending leaves us with a lot of unanswered questions. While it’s meant to make us eagerly wait for the next season, it’s a bit frustrating as everything is saved for part 2. It would’ve been nice to get some answers in the first part.

Technical Aspects:

The background score by Sriram Maddury and cinematography by Ram K Mahesh work well together to create the right mood for this suspenseful thriller. The production values are good, but the dialogues and editing could use more attention. More info about OTT Review Vadhuvu: A Telugu web series on Disney Plus Hotstar.

Director Poluru Krishna does a decent job with Vadhuvu. The characters are interesting, but the slow pacing takes away some of the impact. So, the show has its moments but doesn’t fully hit the mark. The ending is also a bit unsatisfying.

Final Thoughts:

Vadhuvu is an okay show with a bunch of mysterious characters. Avika Gor and Ali Reza give solid performances, and there are some interesting moments. However, it falls short of being a fully satisfying suspense thriller due to slow pacing and repeated scenes. The start and end aren’t great, and there are a lot of unanswered questions. If you can overlook these flaws, “Vadhuvu” might still be worth a watch.
