IFFI Awards 2023: Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani is all set to lead a team of five to decide the Best Web Series (OTT) at the upcoming 54th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. The team includes actors Divya Dutta and Prosenjit Chatterjee, along with filmmakers Krishna DK and Utpal Borpujari.

This special category aims to recognize outstanding web series for their creativity, storytelling, technical skills, and overall impact. There are 32 entries from 15 OTT platforms, and the winning series gets a certificate and a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh.

Prithul Kumar, the Managing Director of NFDC and Festival Director, said, “This year, we’re introducing the Best Web Series (OTT) Award.” The idea is to appreciate and encourage the growing content and its creators on OTT platforms. The winner will be announced in the closing ceremony, receiving a certificate and a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh.

The 54th International Film Festival of India kicks off today at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium in Taleigao. The British film “Catching Dust” opens the event, and the American film “The Featherweight” wraps it up on November 28. Aparshakti Khurrana and Karishma Tanna will be hosting.
