The plan is to put these charging stations in different IOCL stores, making them easy to find. They’ll pop up in big cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Pune, and Kochi, plus along important highways like the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, Salem-Kochi Highway, Guntur-Chennai Highway, and the Golden Quadrilateral.

This teamwork focuses on creating a strong charging network between cities, making it less stressful for EV owners worried about their car’s range on long trips.

People driving EVs get a double advantage. They can easily charge their cars using the ‘Tata Power EZ Charge’ app and the ‘IndianOil e-Charge’ mobile app. These apps help them find and reserve chargers whenever they need them, according to Tata Power.

Saumitra Shrivastava, Executive Director (Retail-N&E), shared that IOCL is ready to adapt to the growing use of electric vehicles. “Our goal is to have 10,000 EV Charging Stations by 2024, turning our stores into complete energy solution hubs. With over 6,000 EV charging stations now, we plan to add more. Our partnership with Tata Power is crucial in dealing with this big change. We’re ready to face challenges and make the most of opportunities, moving towards a greener and eco-friendly way of traveling.”
