Triptii Dimri, after the massive success of Animal: In a recent update, actress Triptii Dimri is all set to star alongside Kartik Aaryan in the upcoming musical romance, Aashiqui 3, directed by Anurag Basu.
The movie Animal, led by Ranbir Kapoor and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, has been a massive hit, making over Rs 640 crore in India and Rs 875 crore worldwide. Triptii Dimri, known for her role as Zoya, has now landed a role in the much-anticipated Aashiqui 3, thanks to the success of Animal.

According to reports, Triptii will play the lead opposite Kartik Aaryan in this next installment of the romantic drama franchise. Anurag Basu, the director of films like Ludo and Barfi, is at the helm, and the music will be composed by Pritam.
A source close to the project mentioned to Pinkvilla, “Triptii has been the talk of the town after the success of Animal, and the creators believe she’ll bring great chemistry with Kartik Aaryan. After ongoing discussions, they’ve officially chosen her as the female lead.”

“Kartik is stepping into a whole new world with Aashiqui 3, exploring the deep side of romance. Coming from romantic comedies, he’s now diving into a different kind of love story. He’s really thrilled about this new adventure,” shared the source. Aashiqui 3 is set to start filming in early 2024, though the release date is still under wraps.
The original Aashqiui, directed by Mahesh Bhatt, was released in 1990 and starred Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal. The franchise saw a revival in 2013 with Aashiqui 2, directed by Mohit Suri, featuring Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur, which also performed well at the box office.
