At the launch of the ‘Shaitan’ trailer, actors like Ajay Devgan, Jyotika, R. Madhavan, and Janaki Bodiwala chatted with the media. Ajay Devgan praised Janaki for her role as his on-screen daughter. Madhavan, on the other hand, talked about something called Vashikaran, and the director, Vikas Bahl, shared how they cast and started shooting for the film.

The trailer for Ajay Devgan’s movie ‘Shaitan’ is out, and it tells a story about a girl being controlled by something evil and the struggle of a father. In the film, R. Madhavan plays a Tantrik trying to control Ajay Devgan’s character’s daughter. The family doesn’t want this to happen, so there’s a big fight between them and the Tantrik. During the ‘Shaitan’ trailer launch, Ajay Devgan praised Janaki’s performance and also talked about the other actors in the film – Jyothika, Madhavan, and the young Dhruv, who plays his son.
Director Vikas Bahl explained how Ajay Devgan asked him to direct the film, even though Vikas was not a fan of horror movies. Ajay convinced him, saying it’s perfect since Vikas is scared of horror. Vikas shared how he chose the cast, praising Janaki’s suitability for the role and Madhavan’s acting skills. The casting was done in just 4-5 days, and they started shooting within 40 days.

Madhavan shared some personal experiences with supernatural things and also talked about Vashikaran, a concept explored in the film. He mentioned that Vashikaran is not just about Tantriks but can also happen through things like social media, where people get influenced easily.
‘Shaitan’ is a remake of a Gujarati film called ‘Vash’ and features Ajay Devgan, Jyothika, R. Madhavan, Janaki Bodiwala, and others. Directed by Vikas Bahl, the movie is set to hit theaters on March 8th.
