According to Variety, this movie is a prequel, the fifth in Miller’s famous “Mad Max” series, telling the backstory of Furiosa. It explores her journey after leaving the Green Place of Many Mothers, thrown into a tough world. Chris Hemsworth and Tom Burke also join the cast.

The official summary on Warner Bros.’ YouTube channel tells us about young Furiosa. She’s taken from her safe haven, the Green Place of Many Mothers, in a world falling apart. She gets captured by the powerful Biker Horde, led by Warlord Dementus. As they travel through the Wasteland, they stumble upon The Immortan Joe’s Citadel. Furiosa faces many challenges in the middle of the two rulers’ rivalry, all while trying to gather what she needs to find her way home.

This special sneak peek was shown at CCXP, Brazil’s big Comic-Con event, where they also announced a new title— “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.”

Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth, alongside George Miller, shared some interesting details about the wild, gas-guzzling vehicles made for this adventure and dished on their characters.
