More About God Of War Live-Action!

Rafe Judkins, who served as showrunner on the first season of The Wheel of Time, has been tapped to lead the God of War adaptation. He’ll be working alongside Oscar-nominated writers Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby (Children of Men, The Expanse), who are penning the scripts and executive producing the show.

The God of War series is expected to focus on the Norse mythology-era of the franchise, which began with the 2018 reboot game. This means we can expect to see Kratos, the Ghost of Sparta, as he grapples with fatherhood and his newfound place in the world of Norse gods.

No release date has been announced yet, but with writing underway, it’s likely that we’ll see the God of War series arrive on Prime Video sometime in 2024 or 2025.
