The teaser, a 2-minute and 11-second peek, shows Chaitanya as an Indian fisherman. He and his friends accidentally end up in Pakistan and get caught. Chaitanya has to find a way back to his love, played by Pallavi, in India.

While stuck in a Pakistani jail, Chaitanya boldly declares his love for India. “Even in your Pakistani land, I proudly say—Hail, mother India,” he declares to a jailer, bringing attention to the real challenges faced by fishermen.
Chaitanya and Pallavi, who worked together in Love Story in 2021, team up again for Thandel.

Filming for Thandel, described as a patriotic movie, started in December last year. The official page mentioned, “Team #Thandel is shooting in the middle of the oceans. Shoot in progress,” on December 26, 2023.

Shamdat handles the cinematography, and Devi Sri Prasad creates the soundtrack. Produced by Bunny Vasu and Allu Aravind’s Geetha Arts, Thandel is currently shooting in Udupi, Karnataka, with no release date announced yet, building anticipation for this cinematic journey.
