Sunny Deol, well-known for his important role in Border, is coming back to lead the cast in a new film about the history of the 1971 India-Pakistan war.

According to an insider, “Nidhi Dutta, who is also writing the script, sees Border 2 as the biggest war film ever made in the country. Unlike previous ones, the movie aims to show the teamwork of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, giving a full picture of the 1971 war. The groundwork for the film started in 2022, with trips to Delhi to get permissions from the Defence Ministry for shooting in real places and using real names. The film not only honors the historical events of the 1971 war but also explores the human stories that unfolded on the battlefield.
