Steven Yeun Not Playing Sentry!
A few weeks back, a rumor was spreading that American actor Steven Yeun was going to play Sentry in Marvel Studios’ upcoming ‘Thunderbolts.’ However, according to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, Steven Yeun is now officially no longer playing the Sentry in Thunderbolts, due to scheduling conflicts.

Yeun’s participation in Thunderbolts was initially mentioned in February, even though Marvel did not formally reveal the cast. During a D23 presentation five months prior, the studio disclosed that the film would feature Marvel mainstays Wyatt Russell, Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, and David Harbour.
Similar to numerous films and shows, Thunderbolts was impacted by the simultaneous writers’ and actors’ strikes that occurred in 2017, causing chaos in Hollywood schedules. Filming for Thunderbolts, which was first scheduled to start in July 2024, was postponed until July 2025.
Who Is Steven Yeun?
Steven Yeun, South Korean-born American actor who already leads a well-known comic book property, Voice Actor of Invincible in the Robert Kirkman comic’s Amazon Prime Show Adaptation.
He has also became well-known as one of The Walking Dead’s main characters, and his Netflix limited series Beef is currently up for an award this season. In addition to competing at the Emmys later this month for actor in a limited series, he will compete for the Golden Globe for best male actor in a limited series on Sunday. (He also shares an Emmy nomination in the outstanding or limited series category as an executive producer of Beef.) He will be seen in Mickey 17, directed by Bong Joon Ho, and Love Me, a Sundance film starring Kristen Stewart, this year.
When Is Thunderbolts Expected To Release?
Originally slated for July 2024, But due to Actors and Writers strike. Thunderbolts faced too many delays like other productions and is now eyeing a July 25th, 2025 release!
