Meera Chopra followed in the footsteps of her sisters Priyanka and Parineeti: Actress Meera Chopra is getting married soon to her long-time boyfriend in February. The wedding will take place in Rajasthan, just like her cousins Priyanka and Parineeti Chopra did before.
Priyanka married Nick Jonas in Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhawan Palace, and Parineeti tied the knot with politician Raghav Chadha at The Leela Palace in Udaipur. Meera recently shared in an interview that she didn’t get much support from her sisters when she entered the film industry.

In a chat with Dainik Bhaskar, Meera talked openly about her marriage but kept her partner’s identity under wraps. She said, “I’m really happy at this stage of my life. Marriage brings stability, and like everyone, I want a stable life with a life partner always by my side.”
Having lived alone in Mumbai for 15 years after pursuing her career in the South and studying in America, Meera sees marriage as a new phase in life.
Explaining why she chose Rajasthan for her wedding, Meera said, “Honestly, I was confused about the location. Goa was an option, but it felt too casual for me. I didn’t want a beach wedding. I wanted a royal vibe, like a king-queen feeling, and Rajasthan is incredibly beautiful.”
As for wedding preparations, Meera shared, “I’m set to get married by the end of February, but I haven’t started preparations yet. My parents in Delhi have shortlisted locations in Rajasthan, but finding time for preparations is a challenge.”
Beyond her personal life, Meera admires Priyanka Chopra’s journey and hopes to venture into production like her. She explained, “I want to tell good stories and try my hand at production. It’s like an extension of acting, not much different.”
When asked if she’d seek production advice from her sister, Meera confidently stated, “I’ve been in the industry for many years. If I venture into production, I know what to do. I don’t need to ask for advice.”
Reflecting on her relationship with Priyanka and Parineeti, Meera admitted they aren’t very close. She said, “We didn’t have that close bond from the start, but that’s okay. In the industry, newcomers usually help each other, but I didn’t experience that. Despite the distance, I’m still close to Priyanka’s family, and they always wish me well.”
Recently seen in the film Safed, directed by Sandeep Singh, Meera Chopra looks forward to her upcoming wedding with excitement.
