According to The Direct, Echo follows Maya Lopez, who’s trying to connect with her Native American roots while dealing with a life of crime following in the footsteps of Wilson Fisk, also known as Kingpin. The first episode introduces Maya and her struggles.
Marvel’s official website adds that Echo’s origin story takes us back to Maya Lopez, whose tough actions in New York City catch up with her back home. She has to face her past, reconnect with her Native American roots, and embrace family and community if she wants to move forward.
