Mammootty’s Yatra rocked the screens in 2019, telling the story of YS Rajasekhara Reddy. Now, there’s a sequel called Yatra 2, directed by Mahi V Raghav, set to dive deeper into the life of YS Jagmohan Reddy. Catch it in theaters on February 8, 2024.

Indian 2
Kamal Haasan and director Shankar are teaming up after 27 years for the eagerly awaited film Indian 2. The movie features a stellar cast including SJ Suryah, Rakul Preet Singh, and Kajal Aggarwal. Due to its long duration, the film will be released in two parts. The first part is scheduled to be in theaters in April, with the second part coming later in the year.
Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1
Not exactly a sequel, but Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1 is a prequel to the 2022 Kannada mystical action thriller. Directed by Rishab Shetty, it takes you 400 years back during the rule of the Kadambas of Banavasi. Starring Shine Shetty and Manasi Sudhir, it’s expected to hit screens in the latter half of 2024.
Tillu Square
Directed by Mallik Ram, Tillu Square is a romantic crime comedy and a follow-up to the 2022 film DJ Tillu. Written by Siddhu Jonnalagadda, who also acts in the movie, it features Anupama Parameswaran and Muralidhar Goud. Originally set for this year, it’s now scheduled for release on February 9 next year.
