In a chat with Times of India, Ileana D’Cruz shared that 2023 was a super happy time for her. She gave credit to her mom for being there during her pregnancy. The new mom also talked about facing postpartum depression, mentioning how it can catch you off guard. She shared a story about crying because she missed her baby, telling her partner, “I know it sounds silly, but our son is sleeping in the other room, and I miss him.”

Talking about her partner Michael, Ileana praised him as amazing and emphasized their strong connection where explanations aren’t needed. When asked about a possible May 2023 wedding, she playfully responded, “It is nice to have a tiny bit of mystery, right?” The Barfi actor shared her hesitation to openly discuss her relationship due to past negative experiences. She explained, “I talked about my relationship before, and I didn’t like how some people spoke about it back then. I can handle things said about me, but I am not comfortable with people talking rubbish about my partner or my family.”
Ileana expressed her love for Michael, calling him absolutely lovely and a big support. She feels fortunate to have met him and appreciates their strong connection. She also mentioned Michael’s familiarity with her work and how he knows all the lyrics to her songs.
