Harry Potter Series Is In Development
Nine months ago, Warner Bros. and HBO Max officially announced the development of a new Harry Potter television series based on J.K. Rowling’s novels. With the announcement teaser.
and now there many reports are surfacing about the ‘Harry Potter’ series’ future leader, as reported by Deadline. Several names are reportedly in the running to take on the show.
According to rumors, The first name is none other than Francesca Gardiner, writer of the Popular show ‘Succession’, and involved in Killing Eve (2018) and His Dark Materials (2019), is currently one of the contenders for the role of J.K. Rowling’s book adaptor for the Max streaming service. It’s claimed that Gardiner is presently being considered as one of three writers to play the major role in this television adaptation.
But as of now, all this speculation hasn’t been confirmed by Warner Bros. and HBO. We hope they announce it soon.
The other names include Michael Lesslie, Tom Moran, Kathleen Jordan, and Martha Hillier. It’s unclear who’s gonna take on the show or which of these are still involved. But, its clear that Warner Bros. and HBO Max wants different possibility of developing more than one story or idea from ‘Harry Potter.‘

The production business led by Rowling’s agent Neil Blair, Brontë Film and TV, and Warner Bros. Television will create the Harry Potter series. The film’ producer David Heyman was in talks to exec produce alongside the two, who will work alongside Brontë CEO Ruth Kenley-Letts.
and yes Rowling is connected to the whole process of making the show, from major casting to executive producer.
Known transphobe J.K. Rowling is now reported to be an active exec producer on the ‘HARRY POTTER’ series where she will be involved in the show’s decision-making.
