Deepfake Rashmika Mandanna video viral: Big B demands legal action

Amitabh Bachchan, the famous actor, strongly supports taking legal action against a fake video that went viral. This video falsely showed Rashmika Mandanna, a well-known actress, in a situation that never happened.

However, a smart journalist named Abhishek Kumar proved that the video was not real. The person in the video was not Rashmika but someone else, a British-Indian influencer named Zara Patel. Abhishek also asked the government to punish those who misuse technology like this.

Amitabh Bachchan, after seeing this information, also asked the government to take legal action.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar, the IT Minister, agreed with Amitabh Bachchan. He said that the government, under Prime Minister Modi, is working to punish those who do wrong things online. He explained that as per the rules made in April 2023, online platforms must quickly remove false information when reported. If they don’t, they can be taken to court.

Chandrasekhar also said that deepfake videos, like the one with Rashmika Mandanna, are very dangerous and need to be stopped.

People online supported this idea. They said that the rise of fake videos, made with the help of artificial intelligence, is a big problem. It can even lead to bullying and harm women. One person mentioned a case in 2020 where a computer program made fake nude pictures of thousands of women.
