Apple TV+’s critically acclaimed 2023 limited series “Hijack,” starring Idris Elba, has become one of the most-watched shows of the year and is loved by many pop-culture nerds. But, now after a year, there is good news for the fans of the show. Apple TV+ has just renewed this Limited series for its second season.
The series, which is told virtually in real-time, Basically follows Nelson on a seven-hour flight from Dubai to London that is hijacked by terrorists. As a professional negotiator, Nelson gets involved right away to try to stop the situation before anyone is murdered, but he soon discovers that the hijackers’ plan is more complex than it first appears.

If talk about the potential plot line for the second season then, there is no plot revealed for now by anyone related to the project, but last time when Edris talked about his return to that role ‘Nelson’, he says if we find a good storyline, or the whole team is ready to work together again, then there is a potential possibility for the second season of ‘Hijack’.
“I’m open to that character coming back. I think if people were compelled to like the character, then I’m in,” Elba said. “But it’s kind of like — he’s not a cop [so] what would be the acceptable Sam Nelson return? And if I’m honest, I’m not sure. I’d like that, but I just don’t want to put him on another hijack.”
