Ambani’s special welcome to football legend: The Ambani family warmly welcomed Mr. Bekcham to their home in Mumbai, gifting him a special Mumbai Indians jersey with “Beckham” on it.
This was the first time English football legend David Beckham visited India. Mukesh Ambani, with his wife Nita, daughter Isha, and son Akash, shared a photo moment with David, along with Shloka Mehta and Anant Ambani’s fiancée, Radhika Merchant.

At their Mumbai home, Antilia, the Ambani family took a picture with David, proudly showing off the ‘1 Beckham’ jersey.
Earlier that day, David Beckham met Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian cricket team, after their exciting win against New Zealand in the World Cup semi-final. David, also a UNICEF goodwill ambassador, watched the thrilling match with cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.

The day before, Akash Ambani and David Beckham watched the match together at Wankhede stadium, joined by Bollywood actors Kiara Advani, Sidharth Malhotra, and Ranbir Kapoor.
In a friendly exchange, Rohit Sharma gave his India jersey to David Beckham, who, in return, gifted Rohit a Real Madrid jersey—a nod to Beckham’s time with the Spanish football club from 2003 to 2007.
Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor and her husband Anand Ahuja hosted a welcome party for David Beckham at their Mumbai home, with stars like Anil Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, and Karishma Kapoor posting pictures with him.
Expressing his excitement, David Beckham shared, “I’ve been waiting a long time to come to India. This is my first time here, and I was really looking forward to it. My work with UNICEF started when I was 17 with Manchester United in Thailand. I became a global ambassador in 2015. While we focus on both boys and girls, our main focus now is on girls’ well-being.”
