As for the power, both SUVs will use the same platform and be made at Maruti Suzuki’s Gujarat plant. They should come with two battery options, and the bigger one is said to give over 400 km of driving on a single charge. The Urban SUV will be available with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

Both SUVs will be revealed to the world next year. The eVX will come out first in India, and the Urban SUV will follow a few months later. They’ll be competing with other electric SUVs like the MG ZS EV and the BYD Atto 3. Toyota plans to make the Urban SUV part of their electric-only lineup, aiming for a price similar to or even lower than the MG ZS, which costs around Rs 22.88 lakh.
