The new Swift will run on a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder engine with the codename Z12, swapping out the old 4-cylinder motor. The big deal here is the change from four cylinders to three, giving it a cool 40 kilometers per liter. Alongside this, Maruti Suzuki is also bringing out the Dzire compact sedan.

Tata Punch EV: Tata is making the Punch, their tiny SUV, into an electric version. People have been waiting for this, and it could make Tata Motors even more successful. The Punch Electric is expected to hit the market early to mid-next year with some design changes hinted at in leaked images. Even though electric Tata cars usually look different, the Punch Electric seems to keep its front look. We’re likely to see a closed grille, a common feature in electric vehicles.
